Straight answers.
The things people ask before they hire us. If your question is not here, call (602) 625-5655.
- Do I own my website?
-
Yes, all of it. Your domain stays registered in your name. Your hosting stays in your account. Your Google Business Profile stays yours. If you ever leave, you take the site with you.
- What happens if I cancel?
-
Every engagement runs three months, then month to month with 30 days notice. When you go, nothing gets held. We do not take a site offline, hold a domain, or lock anyone out of their own accounts. Not over a late invoice, not ever. That is in our billing policy, not just on this page.
- Why is there a three-month minimum?
-
Because the setup fee does not cover the cost of building the site. The first three months of retainer do.
Without a minimum, a client can take a full build and leave in month two, and we lose money on the work. It is a contract term rather than a pricing tactic, and it is in the agreement so nobody is surprised by it.
After three months it is month to month with 30 days notice.
- Why do you charge a setup fee?
-
The setup fee covers part of the build cost. The rest is recovered over the first three months of retainer, which is also why there’s a three-month minimum. The monthly fee after that is for staying on it: catching what breaks, keeping it current. Bundling it all into one monthly number means charging you for weeks of work before we’ve proven anything. The setup fee keeps that honest. The setup fee is what lets us start immediately instead of guessing.
- What does the monthly fee cover once my site is built?
-
Watching it, and the work that comes out of watching it.
Uptime, backups, updates, security, broken links, and whatever else surfaces. You get a report every time we touch the site, so you can see what was found and what was done rather than wondering.
Sites do not usually fail on launch day. They fail eighteen months later, quietly, in the week you were busiest. Someone has to be looking.
- Why not just hire someone cheaper?
-
You can, and plenty of people will build you a site for less. The real cost usually shows up after they’ve been paid. The site stops getting watched, and you don’t find out until it breaks during your busiest week, or your local search results have quietly gone stale for months. That’s not a hypothetical. It’s what happened before we took over Living Hope’s site. Nothing here is meant to talk you out of a cheaper option. Compare what’s actually included, not just the number at the top, and the free audit is yours either way.
- I already have a website. Do I have to start over?
-
Usually not. We work inside what you already have when that makes sense. WordPress, managed hosting, Cloudflare, and the standard registrars are all normal for us. If moving something would genuinely serve you better, we explain why before we touch anything, and the call is yours.
- I already have someone who built my site. Do I need you?
-
Maybe not. If they are also watching it, you are covered.
Most arrangements do not include that. Someone builds the site, and then nobody is looking at it. That is usually not a failure by the person who built it, watching was never part of the deal. It is why so many of the problems we find have been sitting there for a year or more with nobody aware.
- What does the free audit actually get me?
-
A score out of 100 across five factors, the reasoning behind each one, and the specific findings on your site. It is the same diagnostic we run for paying clients.
- What happens after the free audit? Am I signed up for something?
-
No. You get the score and the findings, and that is yours whether you hire us or not.
If you want to walk through it, we will get on a call and go line by line. If you want to hand it to whoever built your site and have them fix it, that is a fine outcome too.
- Who actually does the work?
-
Marvelous Dubé. The person you talk to is the person doing the work. Your site is not passed to someone you will never meet.
- Do you run my Google or Facebook ads?
-
No. We build the strategy, the campaign structure, the tracking, and the creative direction, and we set it up in an ad account you own. Then you run it.
Managing daily ad spend is a different job than building the plan. Doing it badly costs you money every day it goes unwatched, and we would rather tell you that than sell you something we should not. If you want someone in the account every day, we will say so.
- Then what am I paying for with ad strategy?
-
Most businesses get this wrong before spending a dollar: who they’re actually targeting, how the campaign is structured, and how results get tracked.
It is a one-time project with a handoff at the end, not a monthly service.
- Can I buy just the blog, or just social media?
-
Not on their own. Add-ons run alongside an active retainer.
The reason is not upselling. Content and social only work when the site underneath them is sound. Posting into a site that is broken, invisible on Google, or hard to reach from a phone is spending money to send people somewhere that does not convert. We would be taking your money for motion.
- Do you work with my scheduling software?
-
If you run Jobber, your request form can go directly on your site so leads land in your client list instead of an inbox. Other platforms depend on what they allow. Ask and we will tell you straight, including when the answer is no.
- Do you use AI to write my content?
-
Not for anything that carries your name. We evaluated automated content tools for a licensed medical client and rejected them. Mass-produced content is a liability on a regulated site and search engines discount it anyway. We use AI the way any competent operator does, for research and drafting, and a person is accountable for every word that ships.
- How fast will I see results?
-
We will not give you a number, because anyone who does is guessing. What we will tell you is the order. Repair first, growth second. Everything broken gets fixed before we build anything on top of it, and you get a report every time we touch your site so you can see the work as it happens.
- Do you work outside the Phoenix area?
-
Mostly we do not, and that is on purpose. Local search work depends on knowing the market and the cities you actually serve.
We have made exceptions in Arizona for the right fit. Ask.
Still deciding.
