Open PCI security findings, cleared.

What we found

The inherited state.

On July 16, 2026, the first scan after DSP took over, an independent scanning vendor documented the state the practice had inherited from years of neglected maintenance: eight open vulnerabilities on the practice's server. Among them:

  • Plaintext FTP credentials
  • An exposed database port
  • Three OpenSSH vulnerabilities
  • An outdated version of PHP

The site also had broken links and a broken logo carousel running live.

What we did

Three fronts, one retainer.

Technical infrastructure

  • Remediated eight open security findings. Why it matters: these are the holes an attacker uses to get into a server. On a medical practice, that is patient data.
  • Migrated the server and upgraded the software running it. Why it matters: outdated server software stops receiving security patches. Every month it sits there, the list of known ways in gets longer.
  • Fixed broken links and a broken logo carousel. Why it matters: a visitor who hits a dead link usually leaves. Google reads broken links as a site nobody maintains and ranks it lower.

Local visibility

  • Put the provider's credentials and photo on the homepage. Why it matters: people choosing a healthcare provider want to see who they will be talking to. Google also weighs whether a real, credentialed person stands behind health content.
  • Built the local search foundations: consistent business information, citations, structured data, and a complete Google Business Profile. Why it matters: when your name, address, and phone disagree across the internet, Google trusts none of them and shows you less often.
  • Wrote clinician-reviewed information pages. Why it matters: Google holds health content to a higher standard than other topics. Pages written without a qualified reviewer get suppressed.
  • Evaluated automated AI content tools and rejected them. Why it matters: mass-produced content on a licensed practice's site is a liability, and Google discounts it anyway. The easy path would have cost her more than it saved.

Practice growth

  • Built a 162-contact referral outreach system and secured two community health expos. Why it matters: referrals from other providers are the most reliable source of new patients in behavioral health.

This is an ongoing custom retainer, not a standard tier.

Where it stands

Zero open findings.

“For a long time I was told these things could wait. They could not.”
